Common Questions You May Have About In-Home Care | Executive Care of Hackensack
If you are considering in-home care options for your loved one, it’s normal to have numerous questions and concerns running through your mind. Rest assured that we are here to answer any and all of your questions, including those referenced in this blog and those that may not be.
Finding the right in-home service provider is one of the most important things you can do for your loved one, and by asking questions, you will be able to find an ideal match. Here are some questions that are always wise to ask:
- What kind ofcredentialing and trainingdoes the staff have? Having a stranger come into your loved one’s home can be a scary or foreign concept, but you can breathe easy knowing that all of Executive Care’s staff undergoes an intensive pre-employment screening process.
This process includes a criminal background investigation, verifications of references and employment history. Our employees are subject to all state and federal health requirements as well. Nurses and caregivers for Executive care are bonded and insured, are experienced, and have had their skills tested. Plus, they undergo continuing education and training, and are supervised, monitored and managed by registered nurses.
- Is there a minimum or maximum number of hours for in-home care services? Not at all! Our services can be available for as little as a few hours a visit up to 24/7, 365 days a year. Even better, we require no contract for our services.
- Will insurance cover the cost of in-home care services? This is evaluated on a case-by-case basis and can be possible in some scenarios.
Long-term care insurance policies and other insurance policies may cover the cost of our services. Medicaid could also, and there are other options through things like Veterans Affairs. It’s best to talk to us directly about your loved one’s situation.
- How are caregivers selected? We know how important the client/caregiver relationship is, and we will match the specific needs and requests of your loved one with the skills and background of our caregivers.
It is likely you have additional questions. We suggest you check out the FAQs on our website for some other quick answers. You can also reach out to us directly, as we would love to discuss what we’ve got to offer!
